About Bristol Area Stroke Foundation
The Bristol Area Stroke Foundation is an independent charity operating in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
We are specialists in understanding the effects of stroke and are passionate about wanting to help people to make good progress after stroke and re-build a satisfying life.
We are particularly concerned about supporting people to tackle the effect stroke has had on their emotional wellbeing and social opportunities.
Research shows that you are less likely to make good progress after stroke if you are very low in mood or depressed. We think everyone should be offered help with overcoming emotional and psychological problems following stroke.
The services we provide are free, although we make a small charge to those attending groups as a contribution to some of our group costs.
